I have been working on getting cfengine 2.1.x installed during our server
build process for Fedora Core1 (this is part of a long upgrade process here
going from cfengine 1.6.x and Red Hat 7.2).
I thought I had everything working for cfengine v2 and was quite happy. But,
now the latest server I've tried to build fails to properly accept the root
key. I have the first cfengine run set to trust keys and this appears to
work. The problem is that the root key is saved as /var/cfengine/ppkeys/.pub
rather than /var/cfengine/ppkeys/root-xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.pub.
So, subsequent cfagent runs that expect to have the root key available, don't
find it and fail.
I upgraded to cfengine 2.1.8 last Friday just to make sure I was running the
latest cfengine available and this has not helped.
Any ideas where to look for why the root key is not named properly?
