multiple CPUs, multiple NICs

Does any guideline exist on how many cfengine
clients to a cfengine server?  In the
tutorial/documentation, I saw a reference to
a hierarchical distribution system, which
should help the servers from overload.  But,
no estimate on how many is too many.

Following that thread, I have a dual CPU
system, with two Ethernet interfaces.
Can I set it up to run 2 cfengine servers?
I am thinking not, since cfengine uses the
canonical hostname, not machine aliases,
in making decisions about classes.
