Hi All,
Since compiling and installing version 2.1.11 for RedHat AS2.1, I'm getting the
following:
# ps -ef | grep cf
root 8347 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:04 /var/cfengine/bin/cfenvd
root 8361 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfservd
root 11860 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 17189 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 22887 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 31065 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 9722 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 12403 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 15116 1 0 Nov18 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 18106 1 0 00:00 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 28961 1 0 04:00 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 31960 1 0 05:00 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 2232 1 0 06:00 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 5699 1 0 07:00 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
root 8365 1 0 08:01 ? 00:00:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd
Almost every hour has a cfexecd hanging around.
I fail to get any strace output for any of the cfexecd'd other than for the
latest one (pid 8365). The output is:
time(NULL) = 1100876755
uname({sys="Linux", node="creek-app", ...}) = 0
uname({sys="Linux", node="creek-app", ...}) = 0

rt_sigaction(SIGCHLD, NULL, {SIG_DFL}, 8) = 0
rt_sigprocmask(SIG_SETMASK, [32], NULL, 8) = 0
nanosleep({60, 0},
If I do 'ps -elf' I get (note the rt_sig of the stale processes):

If I can help out in any way, let me know.
