I know, bad form and all to reply to my
own email. I just wanted to let everyone know that I resolved the
database issues. I was originally using the SMC package 2.1.13, and
updated to the Blastwave version 2.1.14 on recommendations from Christian.
I guess the Blastwave version didn’t like reading databases that were
created by the SMC package. Deleting the databases in question allowed
cfagent to re-create them the next time it was run, so that is fixed. I’m still having issues with the
stat messages and hoping someone could help me out here. In the
SingleCopy Nirvana wiki page, he references a patch to cfservd that removes the
stat messages unless you execute it with a –v. Is there a similar
patch for cfagent, or does anyone know of an easy way to do this? Thanks, Luke From:

[mailto:help-cfengine-bounces+lyoungblood=phonechargeinc.com@gnu.org] On Behalf Of Luke Youngblood Hi, I’m new to cfengine and I wanted to first say thanks
for making a great product. I just started using it a few days ago and I
can already see how this is going to revolutionize our server infrastructure. Anyway, I decided to use the SingleCopy Nirvana example that
is illustrated on cfwiki, and I’m running into a small issue.
Whenever cfagent runs, I get some messages emailed to the admin account: cfengine:ansauth1: Can't
stat /etc/cfengine/etc/profile.ansauth1 in copy cfengine:ansauth1: Can't
stat /etc/cfengine/etc/profile in copy cfengine:ansauth1: Can't
stat /etc/cfengine/etc/resolv.conf.ansauth1 in copy cfengine:ansauth1: Can't stat
/etc/cfengine/etc/resolv.conf in copy I know these aren’t anything to worry about, since it
is simply matching one of the three statements, but is there any way to shut up
cfagent so that it ignores “Can’t stat” errors? I
don’t want to get an email every hour. Also, I’m getting these messages as well, any ideas? cfengine:: Couldn't open
last-seen database /var/cfengine/cf_lastseen.db cfengine:: db_open: Invalid
argument cfengine:: Couldn't open
lock database /var/cfengine/cfengine_lock_db cfengine:: db_open: Invalid
argument cfengine:: Couldn't open
persistent state database /var/cfengine/state/cf_state.db cfengine:: db_open: Invalid
argument cfengine:ansauth1: Couldn't
