        Hello,

I heard that cygwin's ftp didn't fit with ange-ftp, indeed it crashed my
emacs 20.7 on w2k.
I turned to window's ftp, to see some other kinds of crashing
that eventually turned out to come from a -D switch in the dired ls command.

I wonder if it is possible to use cygwin's ncftp with ange-ftp ?
Here is what resulted from my trial:

/usr/bin/ncftp: illegal option -- i
Usage: ncftp [-u user] [<host> | <URL>]

This is a freeware program by Mike Gleason (address@hidden).
Use ncftpget and ncftpput for command-line FTP.
