  ?  I have a number of different directories associated with different CVS
repositories.  I create them "by hand" initially using the cvs -d switch.
But thereafter, I just relax and let CVS find the CVS/Root file.  In other
words, merely being in the right subdirectory is enough to let CVS find the
corresponding repository.  No environment tricks needed.
