i think i should tell you in more detail.

case A:  i use windows 2000 chinese GB version

(1)under this windows version , when i use C-h h

i can see chinese GB ,but vertical,

then  C-u C-x = , the report i had sent to you.

(2) also under windows 2000 chinese GB version

when i open a file with chinese GB, i can see them.

but when i move the cursor,what ever the cursor over ,the character appear to incorrect,

then i use  C-u C-x = , it report font just  as

i think emacs set it to "latin" with the cursor over the character.

 

case B:  under  windows rather than  chinese GB  version ,but the same HOME DIRECTORY of emacs,that means same setting of emacs

i can not see chinese GB at all,but i try to move cursor to the position, ,just  to the  line which begining with "Chinese" ,and to the disordered

character.
