[h-e-w] Using PCL-CVS/CVS

Hello All,

When I
    C-h variable cvs-cvsroot
I get:

cvs-cvsroot's value is nil

Documentation:
*Specifies where the (current) cvs master repository is.
Overrides the environment variable $CVSROOT by sending " -d dir" to
all CVS commands. This switch is useful if you have multiple CVS
repositories. It can be set interactively with M-x cvs-change-cvsroot.
There is no need to set this if $CVSROOT is set to a correct value.

I type M-x cvs-change-cvsroot, and NTEmacs states that there is no match.

I did place the following in my .emacs, to no apparent avail:

    (setenv "CVSROOT" "CVSROOT=:pserver:address@hidden:/usr/local/cvsroot")

Along the same lines, when I type

    M-x cvs-update

I see that pcvs.* is being loaded, which I'm assuming is the old PCL-CVS
lisp code, I get the following backtrace:

Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-number-of-arguments #[(keymap-alist
&optional menu-name) "Ã!ÄÅ
\",H (B),G"(B [menu-name keymap keymap-alist make-sparse-keymap mapcar

cvs-mode-diff-vendor)) nil nil (:name "Diff"))
  byte-code("ÁÂÃÄÀ!,T\(Bn

Can anyone tell me if I'm missing some customization or something?

Thanks,
Jeff
