[h-e-w] ftp problem

Hello, 

        I am having a problem running ftp from within an emacs shell.  The
ftp command works just fine when I run from a Cygwin shell, so I'm puzzled
as to what in emacs is preventing me from using this command - it just
hangs.

        My path points to:  /cygdrive/c/WINNT/system32/ftp
