Wonderful!  I didn't realize that this was all that was needed.  

Can this be put on the NT Emacs FAQ page please?

Windows ftp has a serious shortcoming in that it doesn't provide
chmod.  (Maybe others too).  I would much prefer to use the Cygwin
ftp.
