Hi Victor,
M-x global-semantic-show-unmatched-syntax-mode did the trick (the effect of M-x
semantic-show-unmatched-syntax-mode is only temporary: it is defeated as soon
as you leave a JDE area and then enter another one). I noticed that you may
customize it to nil by adding
'(global-semantic-show-unmatched-syntax-mode nil nil (semantic-util-modes))
to your custom-set-variables expression (as maintained by custom).
Thanks for the quick reply!
Cheers,
Karel

try
M-x semantic-show-unmatched-syntax-mode
or to switch it off globally,
M-x global-semantic-show-unmatched-syntax-mode
