[h-e-w] running Emacs from an SSH session

Subject: [h-e-w] running Emacs from an SSH session
Date: Thu, 09 Jun 2005 12:57:50 -0700
User-agent: Gnus/5.1006 (Gnus v5.10.6) Emacs/21.3.50 (windows-nt)

I run ssh to log into a WinXP box from a Win2000 box (yes you can do
it via Cygwin) and have problems starting an Emacs session on the
remote machine. I get the message:

emacs: standard input is not a tty

My TERM variable on the remote end is 'cygwin'. I am using Emacs
21.3.50.1. If I use Cygwin's Emacs, it work fine. Any ideas on how to
fix this? Thanks.
