Yes, I the file is associated with emacsclientw and I clicked on it.
I do not know this areas of Emacs, so I have no idea of what is going on. I wonder however if that has something to do with the representation used for "ä" (swedish a with two dots above). In dired I get the following output for the "ä" when I use "C-u C-x =" or (what-cursor-position t):character: ä (2276, #o4344, #x8e4, U+00E4) charset: latin-iso8859-1 (Right-Hand Part of Latin Alphabet 1 (ISO/IEC 8859-1): ISO-IR-100.)I don't see anything wrong with this. What did you expect in a Latin-1 locale such as yours?
