Hello Dan,

according to what I saw on the internet bluehost does not offer root access.

To configure glpk use

./configure --prefix=$HOME/glpk
make
make install
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$HOME/glpk/lib

In ruby you may have to set $LOAD_PATH.
