cperl-mode makes delete acting like backspace |

Hi
I upgraded my cperl-mode.el from 4.32 to 5.16 and it seems to work fine but
my delete-button now acts like a backspace-button.
The details step by step:
1. Since I have no root-privileges on this linux-machine I saved
cperl-mode.el in
~/elisp.
2. Then added the path in ~/.xemacs/init.el with
(add-to-list 'load-path "~/elisp")
I suppose it's a problem of the load order of other elisp-modules, so that
the handling of the delete-button gets confused, because I still have the
same problem when I save V4.32 into ~/elisp/cperl-mode.el.
I'm working with XEmacs 21.4 (patch 6 "Common Lisp" [Lucid]
(i386-debian-linux) of Sat Feb 5 2005 on ninsei)
I also tested it with Emacs 21.2.1, now _without_ problems!
Any suggestions???
Bye
Lanxfax
