You do it... but indirectly. I wanted to add a quote to the value
already generated. Like this:
(equal #1='#1# ''#1#) ==> t
or
(let ((x #1='#1#))
(equal x `',x)) ==> t
The backquote-quote-unquote combination is a nicely short way of quoting
an existing value (instead of an expression like a symbol).
But the conclusion is the same as you described.
