As far as I remember, on SuSE libcurses is located somewhere under
/usr/lib/curses. See where it is located (run ldconfig -v) and give
this directory with --with-lib-path option to configure, e.g.:
./configure --with-lib-path=/usr/lib/curses [OTHER-OPTIONS]
