Hi,

I'm trying to compile gcc-3.0.4 on an AIX 4.3.3 system and get the following
error:

 .
 .
 [snip]
Bootstrapping the compiler
        make CC="stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/
-B/usr/local/powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.3.0/bin/"  STAGE_PREFIX=stage1/
CFLAGS="-g -O2"  LDFLAGS=""  WARN_CFLAGS="\$(GCC_WARN_CFLAGS)"
STRICT_WARN="-Wtraditional -pedantic
-Wno-long-long"  libdir=/usr/local/lib  LANGUAGES="c gcov c++ f77 java objc"
MAKEOVERRIDES=
OUTPUT_OPTION="-o \$@"
        cc -c  -DIN_GCC     -g -O2 -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wmissing-prototypes
-Wtraditional -pedantic -Wno-long-long  -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DGENERATOR_FILE    -I.
-I. -I../../gcc-3.0.4/gcc
-I../../gcc-3.0.4/gcc/.  -I../../gcc-3.0.4/gcc/config
-I../../gcc-3.0.4/gcc/../include
../../gcc-3.0.4/gcc/gengenrtl.c
cc: 1501-208 command option W is missing a subargument
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 40.

Stop.

I know that it has been compiled on this architecture, but I haven't seen
anything about this error in the AIX notes or other docs. Perhaps its more
basic. Thanks for any help you can lend.

Regards... -jeph
