Hello Pease forward this email to the responsible persons! On the FTP server there are packages declared as 64 Bit which are wrongly compiled. They contain 32 Bit files: ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gsasl/gsasl-1.6.1-x64.zip and ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gsasl/gsasl-1.8.0-x64.zip contain only x86 compiled files (32 Bit) !! while ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gsasl/gsasl-1.6.0-x64.zip is the only available 64 Bit file that is compiled correctly! Please compiled that correctly and replace the files on the server ! Or at least remove the wrong files ! NOTE: To check if a file is 32 or 64 Bit use DependecyWalker (http://www.dependencywalker.com). Open the compiled Exe or Dll and it shows you immediately. (See images below) Additionally 64 Bit Exe files cannot be run on Windows 32 Bit. If they do (like gsasl.exe 1.8 and 1.6.1) there is defintiely something wrong. WRONG (32 Bit): gsasl-1.8.0-x64.zip gsasl-1.6.1-x64.zip CORRECT (64 Bit): gsasl-1.6.0-x64.zip (The dependent 64 Bit Dlls appear in red because the do not exist on my 32 Bit Windows.) Elmü |
