Im trying to link the GSL to my Visual Studio 2005 compiler without going
through a project (as most solutions I tried did..).

The reason is that I compile through Fluent UDF compiler which calls for the
VC compiler but does not create a project.

I have a visual studio 2003 (7.1) project. You could my source distribution, load the project (they will be converted to 2005 format), compile it, then you will be able to use the .h/.lib files from the command line tools.

My GSL distrib for Windows :
