Hi folks,

I need to generate integer numbers from a discrete Zipf distribution. It seems that in the GSL this one is missing. Can I use the continuous Pareto distribution instead?

As second (naive) question, I would like to ask if, to use one of the discrete distributions (for example the Poisson distribution)
is necessary to use the preprocessing described in
http://www.gnu.org/software/gsl/manual/html_node/General-Discrete-Distributions.html .

Regards,

Al. T.
