I don't think  that using procmail is the best  way of suppressing spam.
In that way you force every member  of the list to use procmail. Even if
you don't want to moderate the list I think you should at least just let
posting only those people who jointed the list, as Michele said.

If you  just use procmail  you don't find any  solution to all  the spam
emails  that  travel with  this  mailing  list.  Everyone has  first  to
download the mails and then to kill them. Wouldn't it be easier and more
efficient to stop them directly at the source?
