Spam. Irritated. No longer subscribed. Will read from web.
My proposed solution for Spam problem: Initiate Spam free mailing list
entailing 3 levels of subscription
Explicit subscription on website:
1. Write only (Post priveleges) (no emails)
2. Read (individual emails desired) + Write (Post priveleges)
3. Read (digest mode) + Write
Implicit:
1. Joe sends email to mailing list
2. Majordomo autoresponds seeking confirmation of desire for Write
privelege.
3. Joe provides confirmation, Majordomo releases original email sent.
Joe is allowed future Write priveleges
4. If Joe never provides confirmation, original email goes to spam hell
after a finite period of time.
