I do not have a working version of the Hurd :( It hangs in the Hurd code
itself during boot.
I wanted the compiler so that I could build the Hurd with diagnostic
printf's. That way I can figure out what is going wrong.

B.T.W.: I recently saw instructions that said the Hurd needed file systems
with "sparse inodes" (to the best of my recollection). The instructions I
used to create the file systems for the Hurd didn't include this flag.
Could that cause the Hurd boot to fail?

The last few lines of the boot process are:

2 multiboot modules

task loaded:
(hd1,1)/hurd/ext2fs.static --multiboot-command-line=(hd1,0/gnumach.gz -s
root=device:hd1s1 --host-priv-port=2 --device-master-port=3 --exec-server-ta
sk=4 -T typed device:hd1s1<EOL>
task loaded: (hd1,1)/lib/ld.so.1 (hd1,1)/hurd/exec

start (hd1,1)/hurd/ext2fs.static: Hurd server bootstrap:
ext2fs.static[device:hd1s1] exec<cursor is here with system hung - need red
button reset or power cycle to restart>

Thanks again,

Donz
