I used
mfmp hurd.mf
instead, to get scalable postscript code from the glyphs and then
concatenated them after stripping some duplicated code and
comments. Finally I added a global bounding box. You can download
the resulting EPS-file from
http://www.etek.chalmers.se/~e4jordan/hurd.eps
