Hi,

As (l4-hurd) list owner, I've seen reasons for disabling to be "excessive or fatal bounces", in particular mail servers refusing to accept spam. The mailing list doesn't seem to like it. I think it would be better to drop the spam instead of refusing it, although I know refusing is better for some reasons.

Anyway, I don't know how to configure the list to not disable the subscription if it happens, and I don't know if I would want to do it if I did know. Please adjust your spam filters to not refuse e-mail from *@gnu.org (but drop it instead, or do whatever else you like to do with it).

Thanks,
Bas

Hello from Gregg C Levine
Is everyone on this list, and the regular Bug-HURD list getting those
messages? I keep seeing them now, about once or twice, typically once
a month.

I've tried writing the Owner of the list, to find out what error
message was supplied, but never got any response. It seems to better
troubleshoot the problem my ISP needs that error message.

On a different note, I have not seen any junk mail on this list, in
quite a while, especially from a spammer who was trying to promote a
non-existent activity for a largely disinterested audience. (All of
you can guess what approach I took to complain to their ISP. I think I
wore them out from my persistence.) -------------------
