Hi,

As (l4-hurd) list owner, I've seen reasons for disabling to be 
"excessive or fatal bounces", in particular mail servers refusing to 
accept spam.  The mailing list doesn't seem to like it.  I think it 
would be better to drop the spam instead of refusing it, although I know 
refusing is better for some reasons.

Anyway, I don't know how to configure the list to not disable the 
subscription if it happens, and I don't know if I would want to do it if 
I did know.  Please adjust your spam filters to not refuse e-mail from 
*@gnu.org (but drop it instead, or do whatever else you like to do with it).
