If this is QEMU, you should configure networking accordings to QEMU's
user networking, see "Networking in QEMU/Internet Access" on
http://www.bddebian.com/~wiki/hurd/running/qemu/

Hrm, not sure about this one, netbase is deprecated in general I think.
