i686 cross-compilation error

hi all,

when I build using the cross-compilation Makefile provided on the Debian/GNU
Hurd website I receive an error (actually a warning, treated as an error) from
gcc. I haven't tried modifying the Makefile; I figure there might be a cleaner

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/home/nape/Research/Hurd/root/src/binutils/binutils
-I. -D_GNU_SOURCE -I. -I/home/nape/Research/Hurd/root/src/binutils/binutils
-I../bfd -I/home/nape/Research/Hurd/root/src/binutils/binutils/../bfd
-Dbin_dummy_emulation=bin_vanilla_emulation -W -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wmissing-prototypes -Werror -g -O2 -c
cc1: warnings being treated as errors
/home/nape/Research/Hurd/root/src/binutils/binutils/objdump.c: In function
/home/nape/Research/Hurd/root/src/binutils/binutils/objdump.c:1138: error:
ignoring return value of 'fwrite', declared with attribute warn_unused_result

I did have to modify one of the patch names in the Makefile slightly. What was
'0009-2007-07-22-version-of-init-first.c_vs._GCC_4.1.patch.patch' became
'0009-...4.1.patch' because that was what was provided at the listed IP.
