There isn't a good way to vertically center an image. For printed
output only, you could try
@page
@tex
@w{ } % must start the page with something
\vskip 0pt plus 1filll % filll to beat the glue in @page
@end tex
@image{./images/nafrica_seismicity,,,,.png}
