Unfortunately, the texi2html perl script doesn't handle headers and footers yet
and
generates the TOC automatically without ability for touchup. 'makeinfo --html'
has a
similar problem, in that it will process commands like @everyheader but will
only
generate monolithic output with the single header at the top or footer at the
bottom.
Besides, the output of makeinfo is almost identical to an info file, which I
don't
find aesthetically pleasing in HTML.
Anyway, I checked in a workaround that sets the HTML <TITLE> string on every
page if
the page happens to be built with texi2html (which is how I've been doing it).
It's
not on the page, but I expect many people will be able to find the string in
their
browser's title bar.
If I get around to creating an html target in doc, I may write a sed script to
go
along with it and munge in the headers, but I wouldn't count on that happening
soon.
