(again) cvs update: checksum failure after patch to filename; will refetch |

Hi,
some weeks ago I posted this question but got no reply, the problem
stands and I need some comment.
We work with WinCVS 1.0.6 on NT4.0
and cvs 1.10.2 on RedHat Linux 5.2
When updating the local sandbox,
e.g. a file XXXXX, local rev 1.30
repository rev 1.31
we sometimes get the message
P XXXXX
cvs update: checksum failure after patch to XXXXX; will refetch
in some cases it is followed by an
cvs client: refetching unpatchable files
U XXXXX
in the other cases the non-up-to-date file XXXXX rev.1.30 remains in the
sandbox.
I have no idea, what's the reason, and what can I do to avoid the
remaining of non-up-to-date files in the developers sandbox.
Thanks in advance
Matthias
