MPW (Macintosh Programmer's Workshop) is something of a
command-line shell for the Mac, and is available for free from
somewhere on www.apple.com (www.developer.apple.com?). It wouldn't
surprise me to find a CVS client for it.

The downside is that MPW is rather odd, and takes a while to
learn. If you're going to be a serious Mac programmer, it might
be worth your while to learn it (although in that case you might
as well buy Metrowerks Codewarrior and not bother learning MPW),
but if you're not going to use it heavily it's a long learning
curve that isn't going to help you much anywhere else.

I'll check that out. (That SourceForge is having snafus is not news,
unfortunately, but I expect them to straighten things out reasonably
quickly.)

What sort of SSH implementation does it have? As I mentioned,
the free SSH software I've found for the Mac is SSH 2, not
SSH 1, and SourceForge (and presumably other places) want
SSH 1.

Sure does. Thanks.
