Error Connecting to remote repository

I am connecting a remote repository, login is successfull, but when i
use any other command like checkout i get an error.

address@hidden test]$ cvs -d
:pserver:address@hidden:/home/cvsroot login
(Logging in to address@hidden)
CVS password:
address@hidden test]$ cvs -d
:pserver:address@hidden:/home/cvsroot checkout test
Fatal error, aborting.
11424: no such user
cvs update: authorization failed: server kulvinder.intelesoftech.com
rejected access

I have given all the permisions, if there are any user groups to be set,
please help me.
