-f option to pserver / secure pserver |

Hi,
I have seen the -f option in the line for inetd.conf in
instructions for setting up the CVS pserver and I have seen some
without it.
What is the effect of the -f on the pserver? If the CVS clients
have .cvsrc files, will this pserver -f ignore the settings?
Should the -f option be used for pserver or not?
We will be running cvs 1.11.1p1 as soon as we can corner the SA. We
will be trying a jailed root and non-root run pserver as described
at http://www.unixtools.org/cvs/server-how-to.html to try to reduce
the SA concerns about having inetd start cvs as root.
Thanks for your input and thoughts on either issue.
Mark
