Another important thing to add to the manual!
  I always understood that "tag" would put a tag on the repository (and
working directory) for the versions of the files as they exist in the
working directory; while "rtag" would do this for the repository only,
using whichever selection of the files that has been specified (usually
date, or some other tag).  What Larry says is an important other
distinction.
