I was trying to avoid actually checking out the code since the user only
asked for a list.  It looks like we discovered a bug though since I think
my command should have worked.

Anyway, something like (syntax probably wrong)

    cvs rdiff -D 1/1/1970 -r tag module

should work too.  Check the FAQ on cvshome.org on getting server directory
listings.
