That's right, CVS is a concurrent versioning system. It is not, however, a
concurrent versioning system that must use diff3 as its merge tool. diff3 is
not the only tool that can be used for merging. So, I shouldn't have to "get a
real non-concurrent versioning
>system for your silly files" 'cos my files can be developed along multiple
lines.

Let me rephrase the question, "How much resistance will you need to face before
you stop trying to force this change on us?" Please keep in mind that
absolutely noone else has come forward to back the proposal (but I guess this
may not mean anything to someone who's convinced they know better than the rest
of the world).
