I've been thinking about this (I'm the primary author of the ACL
patch), and it shouldn't be a big deal and it would be very useful for
where I work. We could assign secondary designers a branch to work
on, then the code owners could review the changes and merge them in,
but the secondary designers wouldn't have access to the main branch.
But I have a few other things I would like to add, too, such as groups
and SSL access, and branch access control is both more work and a
little lower priority for me.
If you want to work on it (or any of the others, for that matter), I
would be more than happy to merge the changes in to the standard ACL
patch. Remember, source code moves free software more than
suggestions :-).
