Thanks for your response.
The problem seems to occure when adding files through a microsoft OS running
winCVS. I remember reading something about file permissions getting a bit
whacky when integrating unix and micrsoft. Do you know if this is true, and are
there any tweaking or chmod's I could poosibly do? I don't get this diff
failure when I merge and update from a unix os. Secondly does the time date
stamp attached in wincvs differ from that on the unix plateform. Could this be
a problem having pc's around the office with different times.
