cvs client on Solaris 8 |

hello all,
I am having a problem using the client for solaris 8. I have a repository
that I have had set up for a year now. I downloaded the client for solaris
8 from sunfreeware.com.
I can login using cvs login... my CVSROOT is set to
:pserver:address@hidden:/home/cvsuser/repository. I get a ~/.cvspass file.
But then when I try to do a cvs co <project>, it just hangs there... not
doing anything at all... If I try to do a cvs status, I get:
******************************************
cvs: lock.c:179: lock_name: Assertion `*short_repos++ == '/'' failed.
cvs server: Examining .
Terminated with fatal signal 6
******************************************
I can check things out using jCVS, so I know that my connectivity is
alright. But, it looks like when I use the -n option some things start
working (not really, because it doesn't commit anything), but I get better
results... The -t option doesn't seem to tell me anything...
Any ideas?? I know that the server itself is working alright, because I
have other machines working with it... It is just this client that is acting
up...
Thanks!!
Jeremy
