Cvsstat v1.3 has now been released.
It now supports branches, so that you can generate graphs for a nominated
branch. Go it get at:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/cvsstat/cvsstat-1.3.tar.gz
More information can be found at: http://cvsstat.sourceforge.net
Cvsstat is a simple perl script which analyses the history of a set of CVS
controlled files, and collects statistics, such as how the number of lines
of code and number of files evolved over time.
Cvsstat can also interface with gnuplot to produce a figure (in png,
jpg, gif, postscript or other gnuplot-supported formats) of the data.
Its possible to specify selected filesets using a collection of
include/exclude regular expressions. Its also possible to optionally
specify start and end dates in which to collect statistics.
Anyway, check out http://cvsstat.sourceforge.net if you are interested
to see how your CVS project evolved in a graphical way! There is an
example graph there showing the evolution of the open-source jboss
EJB container project.
Cheers,
David
