export of ChangeLog between two releases?

Greetings,

I maintain a `ChangeLog' file for my software, and upon each release
announcement I like to include all the new ChangeLog entries since the
last release tag so folks know what has changed.

How do I retrieve the parts of the file `ChangeLog' which have been
added between release tag X and release tag Y?  Not the cvs log
entries or history, but the actual file contents.

I imagine this is a very common request, but I can't figure out how to
do this from the documentation.
