broken link to CVS repository |

Hi,
I've got a weird problem(what else is new?).
I've got several linux machines that I'm in charge of keeping maintained (in
addition to my main duties as a developer). I use a symlink to get to the
cvs repository on the server, that way the CVSROOT variable looks thus:
export CVSROOT=/home/cvs
the symlink is defined as:
ln -s servername:/home/cvs /home/cvs
Please no flames, I've inherited this setup and there is much resistance to
change.
On the machine in question the the /home/cvs link went dead for no apparent
reason asn has resisted all efforts of restoral.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thomas
