Hey ho,
I've a dynamic IP from my provider, and a domain at dnydns.org, which
always forwards to my dynamic ip. In my local network I've a gateway
which provides the internet for me, and a server on which cvs is installed.
Now, I've set up a rule that every inquiry to port 2401 goes to my server.
That works well. But if userx tries to connect to jmeurer.dnsalias.org
(my domain) with cvs and ssh, he has problems. My problem is: goes the
ssh-inquiry from cvs to the cvsserver also to 2401 or to 22 (standard
ssh-port)? So, do I also have to set up a rule that inquirys to 22
go to server, or is there another way? The settings at the users-pc are:
CVS_RSH='ssh'
export CVS_RSH
cvs up -d :ext:address@hidden:2401/usr/local/cvs

But I think that cvs tries to connect on port 22 because the pass for
userx is wrong, and on the gateway there is no userx, so that the passwort
has to be wrong if cvs really tries to connect on port 22.

Bye
  Jonas
