filename only when performing 'cvs diff'

I'd like cvs to tell me which files have changed, but not the actual
changes. I could do
cvs diff .| 'filter for just file names'
but I was hoping cvs could do this on its own (something like
cvs -fileNameOnly .
Possible/Not possible?
- filename only when performing 'cvs diff',
tailor <=
