RE: problem with password authentication

I already found the answer - it's the perl script :(
Though the perl script itself seems to be OK, apparently, the implementation
of crypt it uses isn't: I tried the one used with Cygwin and it works like a
charm..

Now for a linux port of the cygwin port of the linux function crypt()..
(my linux doesn't compile it)
