That's not a CVS issue. What you need to do is create more "build
targets" (I've forgotten the exact DevStudio term, but I *know* it's
possible). DevStudio automagically creates a "Debug" and a "Release"
target, with different (pre-processor, compiler, etc.) options. You can
create additional targets with alternative setups.
