CVSROOT, cvs import and "only two -j options can be specified"

It took me a couple of hours to realize this and since it is not
posted clearly anywhere, I thought I'd add it to the knowledge pool.

with set CVSROOT=/home/CVS/, the following error occurs with cvs
import -j<REL> -j<REL> <MODULE>

cvs [checkout aborted]: only two -j options can be specified

change to CVSROOT=/home/CVS  (no slash!!!) and you're fixed.
