how to delete directories? (wincvs)

Hy,

on WinCVS, the only possibility to delete
directories in the repository, I found, was "prune empty directories" on
commit.
But how can I do this, when the folder is not a subdirectory?
My problem is: I messed up my repository on testing with lots of directories
and don't know how to remove them :(
