Hello Larry:

Thanks for pointing this out. As of now, I did not add
$CVSROOT/CVSROOT/passwd file to the checkoutlist
file. I removed the old passwd file from the repository
and created new passwd file under $CVSROOT/CVSROOT/
and tightened up direcoty permissions for
$CVSROOT/CVSROOT.

Now, I am able to successfully login into CVS with
CVS user called 'readroh'. But when I checkout files
from the repository, I still get read+write file
permissions and not as supposed to be read-only
mode.

Also, is 'readers' file created the same way as passwd
file? In either case it does not work. The readers file
contains just one line: readroh. And for sure I gave
new line at the end.

Regards,
Rohit Peyyeti
